- Q英語プラグインなので、ブラウザの「日本語に翻訳」機能を使って、ページを日本語表示しました。その状態で「Save Changes」ボタンを押したところ、設定値が日本語で更新されてしまい、おかしくなりました。

ブラウザを「日本語に翻訳」表示したままフォーム送信してはいけません。半角英数字の入力値が日本語に変換されてしまい、データがおかしくなることがあります。
プラグインインストール後の初期値をメモしたので、手動で直すのにご活用ください。このページを「日本語に翻訳」して確認すれば、プラグインの設定画面には影響ありません。
- Q用語の編集画面で「公開」ボタンを押したとき、「更新に失敗しました。 返答が正しい JSON レスポンスではありません」というエラーメッセージが表示され、用語を保存できないときがあります。

まず、本文が空でも更新できないかどうか、確認してみてください。
更新できた場合、公開したいページに特殊文字が含まれている可能性が高いです。疑わしい箇所を一文字ずつ削り、どの記述がエラーの原因になっているのか、文字を特定してください。
私の場合、半角・全角にかかわらず、本文中に「’（シングルクォート）」が含まれるとページ更新できないことがわかりました。

Initial Installation Guide
- Go to “Add New” under the CM Tooltip Glossary menu
- Fill the “Title” of the glossary item and “Content”
- Click “Publish” in the right column.
- View this glossary item
- From the plugin settings click on the Link to the Glossary Index Page
- Troubleshooting: If you get a 404 error once viewing the glossary item, make sure your WordPress permalinks are set and save them again to refresh
- Troubleshooting: Make sure your site does not have any JavaScript error which might prevent tooltip from appearing
